Time to get started
- Soak the dry black beans in cold water overnight and cook until al dente the next morning. Or: use Miras black beans from the can and rinse them in a colander with cold water. Then let them drain.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, top and bottom position.
- Puree the black beans together with the soaked pitted medjoul dates and the honey in the food processor until smooth.
- In a deep mixing bowl, beat the egg and vanilla sugar with a mixer until frothy.
- Then add the oil, cocoa, baking powder and salt and keep beating.
- Now add the bean puree and half of the chopped chocolate to the mixture and mix well with a spatula.
- Using a spatula, pour the dough into a small baking dish lined with parchment paper or greased.
- Spread the remaining chocolate evenly over it.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes.
- Remove the baking from the oven and let it cool down. Cut the cool cake into slices and serve!
- TIP: Do you like a firm bite and yet a sweet taste? Then you can also add a handful of Miras peeled walnuts and / or soaked raisins in step 4!
